Trip 615: Camping, Hiking, and Caving in Majdel Tarsheesh


A splendid camping event with the Footprints Nature Club will take place on Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 Sep. 2024 in the very special and beautiful nature of Mount Lebanon, and specifically:

Camping at the 3 Farmers camp in Majdel Tarsheesh

The Fall weather is promising to be perfect thus allowing us to enjoy the stay in the private resort of the "3 Farmers", in the amazing Majdel Tasheesh.

The location is prepared with electricity, water and toilets. So no need to bother about these issues like you do in the wild camping trips.

That is not all, on Saturday afternoon, we will enjoy a sunset hike in Majdel Tarsheesh. At night, we will spend our time under the moon and stars while enjoying the bonfire in the camp.

In the morning, we will have our Lebanese breakfast, pack our stuff, and enjoy a small hike and caving nearby. 

Reservations shall be done as soon as possible as places are limited. Payments will have to be paid in full before Saturday.

Note that Alcoholic Drinks are strictly not allowed during our trips and in the Camp...

 

Must Have

The normal hiking gear that you can find on our website in the page "How to Prepare?".

The weather might be cold at night.

You should make sure to get the normal hiking gear that that you can find on our website in the page "How to Prepare?", and the following:

  • A tent if you have one
  • Your medicines, if needed
  • Torch (lamp)
  • Sleeping bag or two warm blankets
  • Insects repellent lotion
  • Very warm clothes, sweater, wind breaker - Wool hat
  • Things you use for toilet
  • Other important stuff you might need

Note that there will be a mobile phone network in the camp.


Each camper shall have his/her insurance policy.

Cost Fees

Trip cost 30 L.L., includes:

The trip's fees will be 30$ (25$ for those who have tents), covering:

  • Cost of the guides
  • Rental of the tents
  • Hiking & Caving
  • Fees to the Camping land owner
  • Lebanese breakfast

Transportation will be in private cars (or at additional fees).

Gathering Place & Time

Our gathering will be at the traffic lights on the crossroad of the General Security building الأمن العام and El-Mathaf المتحف region in Beirut. You can park in the parking nearby starting 2:30 PM...

We will start on Saturday 14 Sep, 2024 at 02:30 PM.
The bus will move at 03:00 PM.
 We will not stop on the way. We might be obliged to do some modifications to the plans as needed during the trips.
We will finish on Sunday 15 Sep, 2024 at 04:00 PM.

    KNOW YOUR ABILITIES; CHOOSE AN APPROPRIATE HIKE.

    Be a Lightweight

    THE LESS YOU CARRY, THE MORE ENJOYABLE THE HIKE.

    Avoid Huffing and Puffing

    IF YOU CAN TALK WHILE YOU ARE WALKING, YOU ARE WALKING THE PERFECT SPEED.

  • 04

    Take a Break

    TAKE A TEN MINUTE BREAK AT LEAST ONCE EVERY HOUR.

  • 05

    No Food, No Fuel, No Fun

    DRINK FREQUENTLY AND EAT OFTEN.
