To commemorate this epic achievement, we're inviting you on the weekend of 20 & 21 April 2024 for an unforgettable

Camping adventure in Nahr El-Jouz – Majdalou Campground - Koura

What to expect?

  • Breathtaking river sceneries
  • Perfect spring weather ☀️
  • Fun-filled hikes on Saturday and Sunday
  • Delicious campfire gathering with cake on Saturday night

 

Two Hiking Trips Details:

  1. Saturday Afternoon Hike: Easy-level hike along the riverside of Nahr El-Jouz, leading to Mseilha Lake. ‍
  2. Sunday Hike: Easy-to-medium level hike from Tannourine Tahta to Beit Shlala, ending at the majestic Kfarhilda Waterfall. ‍

 

Important Note:  Alcohol is strictly prohibited during our trips.

Must Have

The weather will be cold, especially at night.

You should make sure to get the normal hiking gear that you can find on our website on the page "How to Prepare?", and the following:

  • A tent if you have one
  • Your medicines, if needed
  • Torch (lamp)
  • Sleeping bag or two warm blankets
  • Insects & mosquitos repellent lotion
  • Warm clothes, sweater, windbreaker - Wool hat
  • Things you use for toilet
  • Other important stuff you might need

Note that there will be a mobile phone network in the camp.
Each camper shall have his/her insurance policy.

Cost Fees

Trip cost 35 L.L., includes:

  • $35 (bring your own tent)
  • $40 (use our tent)

What will be included?

  1. Round-trip transportation from Beirut
  2. Transportation for hikes
  3. Camping site fees ?
  4. Tent rental (if applicable) ?
  5. Saturday afternoon & sunset hike
  6. Sunday hike
  7. Campfire gathering with cake on Saturday night

Gathering Place & Time

Our gathering will be at the traffic lights on the crossroad of the General Security building الأمن العام and El-Mathaf المتحف region in Beirut. You can park in the parking nearby starting 2:00 PM...

We will start on Thursday 20 Apr, 2000 at 02:00 PM.
The bus will move at 02:45 PM.
 We will not stop on the way. We might be obliged to do some modifications to the plans as needed during the trips.
We will finish on Friday 21 Apr, 2000 at 05:00 PM.

Hikers' Tips

    Be Kind to Yourself

    KNOW YOUR ABILITIES; CHOOSE AN APPROPRIATE HIKE.

    Be a Lightweight

    THE LESS YOU CARRY, THE MORE ENJOYABLE THE HIKE.

  • 03

    Avoid Huffing and Puffing

    IF YOU CAN TALK WHILE YOU ARE WALKING, YOU ARE WALKING THE PERFECT SPEED.

  • 04

    Take a Break

    TAKE A TEN MINUTE BREAK AT LEAST ONCE EVERY HOUR.

  • 05

    No Food, No Fuel, No Fun

    DRINK FREQUENTLY AND EAT OFTEN.
