Trip 460: Hiking with Snow in Ouyoun Seeman


The Footprints Nature Club would like to invite you this Sunday 23 December 2018, to enjoy the walking in the jroud of one of the most beautiful mountains:

Hiking with Snow in Ouyoun Seeman

As many of the high Lebanese mountains are now covered with snow, you should all be prepared to walk on the snow during this trip.

Walking on the snow requires waterproof boots, and waterproof pants. Thus please make sure that you all get these with you to the trip. You should also get extra pants and shoes to change when you get back to the bus.

Hiking on the snow is different from snowshoeing since we will walk on the snow without snowshoes (rackets).

The hike will be of Medium Level (7/10) in Ouyoun Seeman with around 10 KMs in around 5 hours.

In this season, the weather is always unstable especially in mountains. Thus make sure to get heavy jackets and other warm stuff with you in all the hikes.

مشي في الطبيعة وعلى الثلج في عيون السيمان

المشي على الثلج يحتاج أحذية وبنطلونات عازلة للماء. لذا يجب إحضارهم معكم في هذه الرحلة، بالإضافة إلى حذاء وبنطلون للتغيير عند الإنتهاء من الرحلة.

مستوى الرحلة سيكون مستوى متوسط (حوالي 10 كلم بوقت حوالي 5 ساعات).

الطقس في هذه الفترة من السنة متقلب كثيراً. لذا يجب على الجميع احضار الجاكيتات الدافئة وغيرها من الأشياء لتفادي البرد الموجود خصوصاً على الجبال.

    THE LESS YOU CARRY, THE MORE ENJOYABLE THE HIKE.

    IF YOU CAN TALK WHILE YOU ARE WALKING, YOU ARE WALKING THE PERFECT SPEED.

    Take a Break

    TAKE A TEN MINUTE BREAK AT LEAST ONCE EVERY HOUR.

    No Food, No Fuel, No Fun

    DRINK FREQUENTLY AND EAT OFTEN.
